After a year in the bunker, Tom Haviv and Eden Pearlstein are excited to unveil Ayin Press, a new interdisciplinary publishing platform for experimental Jewish arts & culture. For our first official project we teamed up with Ortega y Gassett gallery in Brooklyn to present In/Flux: on influence, inspiration, transmission, and transformation – a multi-medial art show co-curated by Zahar Vaks and Eden Pearlstein. In conjunction with the gallery show, a unique, full-color chapbook/catalogue was produced to poetically reflect on the corresponding themes, works, and relationships at play & on display in the collected works. The book features selected images from the show, as well as a series of kabbalo-conceptual-art writings and permutational poems by Eden Pearlstein.
This limited edition first printing is creatively designed by Tom Haviv and Sam Fine, and will be available for purchase at the event.
Come check out the show, pick up a chapbook, and celebrate the launch of Ayin Press on Sunday Night, February 16, from 6pm-9pm at OYG gallery (363 3rd Avenue, Brooklyn NY 11215).
The event is free. Drinks will be served.
