Somewhere is an imprint of Ayin that focuses on children’s literature and art with a special emphasis on illustrations and stories that serve to expand vision and inspire empathy. The books themselves are experiments, as they seek to connect with and channel the profound weirdness of children’s experiences and inner worlds. We approach children’s publishing with curiosity and inspiration, rather than pedantic condescension or programmatic ideology.

A playfully serious (& seriously playful) attempt to explore art and poetry from the perspective of the child within each adult, Somewhere acknowledges that adults are merely larger children in the eyes of the cosmos. Echoing the values and aesthetics of Ayin Press, we are dedicated to cultivating deep imagination, especially as it applies within social, aesthetic, and spiritual spheres. Each book in its own way will freely explore themes both Jewish and universal.
